What a year 2023 has been! Among some really exciting international hosting projects, the highlight of my year has been hosting Slimetime UK for Nickelodeon. It’s an NFL-themed series bringing the best of the NFL International Series to young audiences, growing the sport of American Football outside of the US. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing NFL players, travelling to Frankfurt, Germany and my pick of the bunch, interviewing fans while dressed as a hot dog, like the serious and professional broadcaster that I am (ahem!)

Working together with a great team, it’s been a really fun show to work on and will return in 2024 for the Superbowl Special. Watch this space!

September is ESEA Heritage Month! Returning for its second ever year, East and South East Asian (ESEA) Heritage month is dedicated to celebrating the vibrant history and culture of people and communities from this part of the world. Being British-born Vietnamese, increasing and improving ESEA representation in the media has always been an important goal for me, and this initiative is doing great things to celebrate and educate on important topics - especially important in the wake of increased anti-asian hate crimes after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier the month, I took part in panel discussion titled, ‘Don’t Mention the War': Paths and Perspectives of Second Generation British Vietnamese’. It was a fascinating, heartwarming event, which brought me an incredible sense of validation and belonging, not to mention some new friends! Throughout the month, I’ll be posting about events and sources of education, as well as trying to participate as much as possible!

To get involved, check out besea.n and search for the petition to officially recognise ESEA Heritage Month in the UK. I’ll post some links when I get the chance!

HOW series 2 is out now! After the RTS Award-winning success of series 1, it was such a huge pleasure to get to do it all over again. I absolutely love hanging out with Sam and Vick, and we’re excited to be able to share what we’ve been up to! If you missed any episodes, you can find them all, along with series 1, over on ITV Hub. See you there!

NEWS: How has been nominated for an RTS (Royal Television Society) Southern award! We’re in the Factual Entertainment category alongside two other great shows, and we’re also the only children’s show out of all the nominees! Safe to say I’m pretty chuffed already.

The awards ceremony will be streamed live on Friday 30th April 2021 at 7.30pm, and you can watch it for free here: https://www.facebook.com/rtssouthern

Fingers crossed, and see you there!

The cat is out of the bag! I’m thrilled to finally be able to announce that How is making a comeback on ITV, and I’m on the lineup of presenters with two of my good chums, Vick Hope and Sam Homewood. Having been a big fan of How 2 when I was growing up, it’s pretty surreal to be presenting a show with so much history behind it. We’ll also be joined in each episode by TV royalty in the form of Fred Dinenage MBE. Expect fun, facts and fireworks!

How will be returning to ITV in November - set your reminders!

2020, what strange times we live in… Safe to say this year has been topsy turvy for all of us, but I’ve been been keeping busy behind the scenes and somehow have managed to film an entire new TV series whilst abiding by very strict working rules! I can’t say too much at the moment, but what I CAN say is that I’m absolutely buzzing to tell everyone what I’ve been up to. It wasn’t easy to make this happen, but I’ve been so blessed to work with amazing people who have pulled out all the stops to create something magical. I’m expecting this year to go out with a BANG!

In the meantime, here’s one I made earlier - a snap from a Digital Literacy project I worked on earlier this year with BBC and Brickwall! Stay safe!

2019 has been a crazy year so far - I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through! Having returned from the Champions League Trophy Tour, which took me to South Africa and Indonesia, I recently spent four days in Madrid hosting the Adidas Tango League European Finals. This welcomed some of the best young street footballers from around the continent, pitting them against each other in a contest to be crowned kings of Europe, and to win tickets to the Champions League Final. I had the pleasure of hosting the tournament, and interviewing some special guests. We had three players who had all won the World Cup and Champions League, so I was truly in the presence of football royalty in the form of Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso and Kaka. I’m now back on home soil for a few days, but this summer is showing no signs of slowing down - that’s all I can say for now. Watch this space!
